Our Client is a major manufacturer and supplier building and construction materials, are currently seeking an experienced Machine Operator / Production to join their team initially on a temp basis with the view for permanency.
The Role: Located in the eastern suburbs of Perth, this role will see you reporting directly to the Production Supervisor working amongst the fixed-plant machinery in the manufacturing facility. You will be required to complete the following duties:
- Monitoring and operating factory machinery / equipment (Kilns and press operator)
- Isolating machinery in the case of process or mechanical issues
- Following quality control procedures
- Adhering to safety protocols, attending toolbox meetings
Requirements:
- Previous machine operating experience is a must!
- Must have a current driver's licence and own vehicle to get to work
- Ability to work on a continuous shift roster (days and nights)
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol test
- Forklift License - Bonus although not essential
- Be a permanent resident of Australia with full work rights (sorry no holiday visas)
Roster & Remuneration:
You will be required to work on a rolling shift pattern comprising of both days & nights, each shift being 12-hours made up of 7 shifts per fortnight (5 shifts week 1 / 2 shifts week 2 with R&R in between days & nights inc every second weekend)
Hourly rate of $43.11 p/hr. Should you work outside your usual shift pattern then DOUBLE TIME will apply for the whole shift!
