About the Role

Underground Light Vehicle (LV) Fitter to support maintenance activities at the Cowal Mine. This role is suited to tradespeople with strong underground experience who are looking for a stable, long-term opportunity on a major development project.

• Key: Perform maintenance, servicing, and repairs on underground light vehicles
• Diagnose faults and carry out breakdown repairs in a timely and effective manner
• Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance to minimise equipment downtime
• Complete pre-start checks, service sheets, and maintenance reports accurately
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with site, safety, and statutory requirements
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas to a high standard
• Identify and report hazards, defects, and opportunities for improvement
• Work collaboratively with operations and maintenance teams to support safe and efficient site performance

About You / Requirements

• Trade qualification as a Light Vehicle Mechanic (essential)
• Proven experience maintaining light vehicles in an underground mining environment
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A valid manual driver’s licence
• A strong commitment to safety and compliance with site procedures
• A proactive approach to maintenance, problem-solving, and continuous improvement
