Leading Hand Check-in - People Facilities & Logistics
Join Mineral Resources as a Leading Hand Check-in at our Perth Airport location. This permanent, full-time role offers the opportunity to lead check-in operations while supporting our workforce across various mining sites.
About the Opportunity
As Leading Hand Check-in, you'll oversee the smooth operation of our airport check-in processes, ensuring our people travel safely and efficiently to mining operations. You'll lead a small team while maintaining high standards of customer service and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate check-in staff during busy operational periods
- Ensure accurate passenger manifest compilation and baggage handling
- Liaise with Operations Leaders and maintain strong working relationships
- Implement safety procedures and compliance requirements
- Train new team members and provide ongoing coaching
- Resolve passenger issues and manage challenging situations professionally
- Monitor equipment functionality and report maintenance needs
What You'll Bring
- Previous experience in airport operations, customer service, or similar environment
- Strong leadership skills with ability to motivate and guide team members
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Flexibility to work various shifts including early starts and weekends
- Understanding of aviation security and safety requirements preferred
- Physical fitness for standing, lifting, and moving baggage
