Lead Project Engineer

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Lead Project Engineer to join a major resources project delivering large-scale mineral processing and infrastructure works. This long-term role offers the chance to lead the engineering and execution of significant project packages while working within a highly regarded EPCM delivery environment.

Based primarily in Perth, you will play a key role in coordinating multidisciplinary engineering activities, managing project delivery and supporting successful execution through to construction. As the project advances, occasional site travel will be required.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of major project work packages from engineering through execution.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams and key stakeholders.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget and execution activities.
• Drive engineering deliverables and ensure alignment with project objectives.
• Support procurement, construction planning and project readiness activities.
• Work closely with clients, contractors and EPCM delivery teams.
• Provide leadership, technical guidance and project oversight throughout the project lifecycle.
• Identify and manage project risks, opportunities and critical interfaces.

About You

• Degree qualified Engineer, ideally Mechanical.
• Proven experience as a Lead Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer on large-scale resources projects.
• Strong EPCM project delivery experience.
• Background in mineral processing, process plants or materials handling projects.
• Gold project experience highly regarded.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex engineering and project delivery activities.
• Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills.
• Comfortable working across engineering, procurement and construction phases of a project.
