Lead Process Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Lead Process Engineer to provide technical leadership across the development, engineering and implementation of advanced mineral processing technology.

This is a hands-on senior role spanning process development, test work, engineering design, commissioning, ramp-up and continuous improvement.

The Role

• Lead process development and optimisation from test work through to commercial plant operation.
• Translate laboratory, pilot and vendor data into practical engineering and operating requirements.
• Provide technical leadership through engineering design, commissioning and ramp-up.
• Troubleshoot process performance, recovery, reliability and product-quality issues.
• Work closely with engineering, operations, laboratories, vendors and technology partners.

About You

• Degree qualified in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgy, Mineral Processing, Chemistry or a related discipline.
• Strong background in hydrometallurgy, chemical processing, refining or related process industries.
• Demonstrated experience in ion exchange/resin-based separation or electrolysis/electrowinning/electrorefining is essential.
• Strong understanding of process chemistry, mass balances and plant performance.
• Experience taking process technology from development and test work through engineering and into plant deployment.
• Commissioning and ramp-up experience with new or modified processing technology will be highly regarded.
