Lead HSE Advisor

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Lead HSE Advisor to join a growing project delivery team supporting large-scale resource sector developments across Western Australia. Working on a FIFO 2:1 roster, you will provide leadership, guidance and oversight across all health, safety and environmental activities while driving a strong safety culture on site.

This is a permanent position offering the opportunity to play a key role in a significant project environment and work alongside experienced engineering, construction and project delivery professionals.

About the Role

Reporting to the Project Leadership Team, you will be responsible for leading the HSE function, ensuring compliance with legislative and project requirements, and supporting safe project execution across all disciplines.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and mentoring members of the HSE team
• Developing, implementing and maintaining HSE plans, procedures and systems
• Providing specialist HSE advice to project and construction teams
• Identifying, assessing and managing project risks
• Monitoring contractor compliance with project HSE requirements
• Coordinating HSE programs, inspections, audits and reporting activities
• Supporting monthly project reporting and HSE performance reviews
• Promoting a proactive safety culture through coaching, communication and engagement initiatives
• Ensuring documentation and records are maintained in accordance with company procedures

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

• 10+ years' experience in Health, Safety and Environment leadership roles
• Previous FIFO experience within mining, resources, construction or major projects
• Strong knowledge of Australian HSE legislation and industry best practice
• Experience developing and implementing HSE management systems, plans and procedures
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple stakeholders
• Strong contractor management and compliance monitoring experience
• Excellent communication, presentation and coaching skills
• Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety or relevant tertiary qualification (highly regarded)
• Proficiency across Microsoft Office applications
