Lead Civil Engineer

About the Role

You will lead civil engineers and designers across a varied portfolio spanning mining, minerals, energy and infrastructure. Combining technical authority with hands-on delivery leadership, you will shape designs, coordinate global workshare and ensure safe, compliant outcomes—on time and within budget.

What You Will Lead

• Civil design delivery for access roads, construction pads, bulk and detailed earthworks, pipelines, mining support and associated infrastructure.
• Technical quality, reviews, assurance and compliance with Australian and international standards.
• Resource planning and effective utilisation across multiple projects and portfolios.
• Coordination with customers, project disciplines, procurement, construction and commissioning teams.
• Engineering studies, calculations, technical recommendations, progress reporting and final deliverables.
• Scope definition, change management, bid inputs, hours estimates and technical clarifications.
• Mentoring and development of engineers and designers across local and global teams.

What You Bring

• Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering or a relevant discipline.
• 15+ years of civil engineering design experience in mining, energy or infrastructure.
• Proven leadership of engineering teams delivering complex work to demanding schedules.
• Strong technical design capability and practical knowledge of 3D modelling and drafting workflows.
• Sound knowledge of statutory requirements, Australian Standards and relevant international standards.
• A lean delivery mindset, commercial awareness and a consistent focus on quality.
• Clear communication, sound judgement and the confidence to resolve technical and customer interface issues.
