About our Role

Join the Barminco team as a Jumbo Operator and support our underground mining operations across Australia, with current opportunities available at sites throughout Western Australia. In this role, you’ll play a key part in operating underground jumbo drills to accurately drill headings and install ground support in line with mine plans and safety standards.

What will your day to day look like?

• Operate underground jumbo drill to accurately drill development headings.
• Read and follow drill plans, mark-ups, and ground support requirements.
• Install ground support such as bolts, mesh, and other products as required.
• Conduct pre-start checks and basic maintenance on drilling equipment.
• Maintain safe, clean, and productive work areas in active headings.
• Work closely with supervisors and other crews to meet development schedules.

Our ideal candidate background includes

• Previous experience working as a Jumbo Operator
• Extensive experience working in underground mining
• All valid and relevant qualifications, certificates and licences (RPL's)
• Ability to meet all site access requirements (including, but not limited to, Medical, DAS, NPC & valid Manual Driver's Licence)
