Northern Star Resources currently has a rare opportunity for an experienced IT Asset & Application Analyst to join the team at our Subiaco Office, in a permanent and full-time capacity.
Reporting to the IT Projects Lead, this key role is responsible for tracking and managing all IT hardware and software assets, as well as optimising software license usage & costs, procurement, renewals, warranty, and contract negotiations. You will also work with the cyber team to ensure that key suppliers have appropriate controls to protect the security, availability, integrity, confidentiality and privacy of Northern Star’s systems and data.

- Reviews hardware and software licensing costs, advises on the most appropriate licensing structures, and helps to negotiate agreements with suppliers.
- Conduct regular license utilisation reviews, identifying opportunities to reduce costs and optimise license usage across the business.
- Ensures compliance with software license terms and agreements and ensures that these are reviewed and approved prior to their renewals.
- Maintain a supplier cyber risk management register and review for all suppliers and ensure that key IT suppliers have adequate controls to protect the security, availability, integrity, confidentiality, and privacy of NST systems and data.
- Procures IT hardware and software and ensures that costs are distributed to sites based on usage.
- Ensures that IT hardware and software registers are kept up to date.
- Helps prepare the IT hardware and software budget.
- Assist the broader IT team with general support where needed and undertake additional duties as required.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience supporting IT hardware and software assets and managing software licenses.
- ITIL certification and or experience working within an ITIL framework is desirable.
- Relevant experience in the mining industry or other equivalent large multi-site organisation will be highly regarded.
- Experience developing and maintaining Software Asset Management tools.
- You have worked with vendors and negotiated software renewals and contracts.
- Experience assessing and managing supplier cyber security risk.
