About the Role
As the Inventory Controller, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, optimising stock holdings, and ensuring the integrity of inventory master data within the ERP system. Working closely with warehouse, procurement, maintenance, and operational teams, you will play a key role in supporting business performance through effective inventory management practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain inventory master data and catalogue governance.
- Ensure inventory records are accurate, standardised, and compliant with company processes.
- Monitor inventory performance, usage trends, shelf life, and item obsolescence.
- Review and analyse inventory data to identify opportunities for optimisation.
- Prepare inventory reports and recommendations for key stakeholders.
- Manage the creation and amendment of stock items within ERP systems.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across inventory and warehousing functions.
- Collaborate with procurement, maintenance, and warehouse teams to improve inventory outcomes.
- Identify slow-moving and obsolete inventory and support appropriate mitigation strategies.
Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated experience in a Supply Chain related discipline.
- Extensive experience in inventory management roles.
- Experience using ERP systems such as Pronto, SAP or similar.
- Experience within a warehousing environment in the mining industry.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
- High attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and process compliance.
Qualifications
Essential
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Cataloguing and/or Inventory Management.
Desirable
- Tertiary qualification in a Supply Chain related discipline.
