The Role & Project
MACA is seeking an experienced Human Resources Administrator to join our team at the Gruyere Gold Mine operation on a permanent FIFO 8:6 roster.
Reporting to the Senior Human Resources Business Partner, the HR Administrator will support the onsite HR team by coordinating employee remuneration and position change processes, employment conversions, employee lifecycle documentation, HR data capture and maintenance, and providing general HR administrative support.

Key result areas include:
- Manage end-to-end employment administration, including contracts, labour hire conversions, intercompany transfers, and maintaining accurate personnel records.
- Coordinate onboarding and mobilisation processes, acting as the key liaison between Recruitment, Mobilisation, Project teams, and external providers to ensure a smooth employee transition experience.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR data across systems (e.g. HRIS), including tracking new starters, transfers, bonuses, and workforce changes.
- Provide administrative and operational support to onsite HR teams, ensuring compliance with QA standards, policies, and procedures.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships, uphold strict confidentiality, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives while adhering to organisational safety and values.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR processes, workplace culture, and organisational performance.
- Promote and uphold the company’s values, safety standards, and commitment to professional development.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Proven experience in an administrative role, ideally within Human Resources in the mining and resources, heavy industry, or a similar sector.
- A relevant qualification in Human Resources or be working towards one (desirable but not essential).
- A sound understanding of the employee lifecycle, including internal transfers, promotions, onboarding, mobilisation, pre-employment compliance, and demobilisation processes.
- A basic understanding of HR policies, procedures, and relevant employment legislation, with the ability to apply these accurately in day-to-day administrative tasks.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining accurate records and data.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- A current Australian Class Driver's Licence
