The Role

We are currently seeking a Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic that specialises in Road Transport Equipment to join our Newman depot team. Offered on a 2/1 roster ex Perth (or Newman), this position includes night shifts, 7 days, 7 nights, 7 days off and working 12.5 hour shifts.

As a HD Mechanic you will:

• Conduct regular maintenance and repairs on a variety of heavy vehicles including Trucks, buses and trailers
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment
• Perform routine inspections to identify potential problems and prevent breakdowns
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed
• Communicate with stakeholders to explain repairs and provide estimates for work
• Work collaboratively with other mechanics and providers to ensure timely completion of all repairs

About You

To be considered you will hold the following:

• HD Automotive Mechanic trade qualifications
• Experience working on Macks and Volvos
• Australian Drivers Licence – MR or HR class
• Australian work rights
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and ongoing drug & alcohol screens
