Glencore Technology (GT) delivers world leading mineral processing, leaching, refining and smelting technologies to clients throughout the world. Our technologies include IsaMills™, Jameson Cells, ISASMELT™, Albion, HyperSparge™, and ISAKIDD Technology. We have Engineering teams for each technology to design and support new and existing installations. The Engineers work alongside our Project Management, Drafting, Aftermarket, and Business Development teams. We deliver technology solutions and complete package solutions, combining process design, engineering design, and training, commissioning, and ongoing relationships with clients.
We are seeking a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Brisbane. The successful candidate will work as part of a team consisting of process and mechanical engineers and drafters implementing our design office standards. You will be an important part of a global company that wants you to succeed, not just for the benefit of the organisation but also so you can achieve your own career aspirations. The Graduate Mechanical Engineer position is a 2-year fixed term role with the opportunity to progress to permanent employment as a Mechanical Engineer at the end of this term.
A typical day will involve working with leaders in their fields to solve complex problems, you will be assisting with designing equipment, modelling and detail drawings as well as assisting with plant layouts for Glencore Technology’s range of mining plants and equipment.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering
- Have graduated within the past 2 years
- Australian working rights
