OT/IT Project Manager

A leading Australian based mining organisation with operations throughout the country is seeking a Project Manager to work on a variety of projects starting over the next 6 months.

Your new role

Our client is expanding their project portfolio significantly this year, with a strong increase in mining‑related initiatives. The work spans a diverse range of operational technology and mining systems, including:

• Materials Management
• TKM Calculations
• Deswik MDM (Mining Data Management)
• Pitram Location Status
• Pitram Mobile (uplifting the Pitram FMS)
• Drill and Blast process improvements
• Additional mining technology and OT uplift projects

To support this growth, they are seeking a candidate with strong experience in mining operations and operational technology systems.

Due to the nature of this role, on-site visits to the mine site in Western QLD will be required, which will vary depending on the project’s stage/state. This will be in a FIFO capacity from either Brisbane or Townsville airports with all flights, accommodation and meals provided.

When not on site, you will be working remotely (from home).

What you'll need to succeed

• Operational Technology (OT), Information Technology (IT) and overall mining technology systems and procedures
• An understanding of a wide variety of IT infrastructure, networking, systems and software ecosystems (due to the projects coming up, an ’all-round’ knowledge of IT is applicable)
• IT/Technical Project management
• Roadmap planning and execution
• Technical documentation
• Previous experience working in the mining/resources sector is required.
