We are now offering opportunities for Graduate Environmental Advisors to join our 2026/2027 Graduate Intake, designed to develop the next generation of environmental professionals within the mining industry.

About the opportunity

This is a structured two‑year graduate program providing a mix of site‑based and office experience, supported by mentoring from experienced environmental and mining professionals.

You will gain exposure across environmental compliance, reporting and environmental management systems, while developing practical skills and technical capability to set you up for a long‑term career with Westgold.

Our goal is to develop confident, capable and well‑rounded Environmental Advisors who can grow with the business.

What you’ll be involved in

• Assisting with the implementation and continual improvement of Environmental Management Systems
• Supporting environmental compliance, monitoring and reporting activities
• Gaining hands‑on exposure across operational and corporate environments
• Working closely with site teams, leaders and technical specialists
• Building practical knowledge of environmental legislation and mining operations

About you

You are enthusiastic about starting your environmental career and keen to learn in a dynamic mining environment.

You will bring:

• A tertiary qualification in an environmental discipline
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with diverse teams
• Good computer literacy and attention to detail
• A proactive, positive attitude and willingness to learn
• A current manual C Class driver’s licence
• A current National Police Clearance (or ability to obtain)
• Ability to pass Westgold’s pre‑employment medical and D&A screening

Practical experience or vacation work in a related field is advantageous but not essential.
