About the Role

GIS Analyst to join Subiaco Corporate Office on a permanent full-time basis, reporting to the Environmental Manager – EMS and under the guidance of the principal GIS Developer. Office-based roles, Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to GIS and mapping requests from environmental teams across the business
  • Support the ongoing improvement of GIS processes, standards and data management practices
  • Produce high-quality cartographic outputs for environmental approvals, regulatory submissions, compliance reporting, and mine closure planning
  • Assist with the management, validation and quality assurance of environmental spatial data from internal and external sources
  • Conduct spatial analysis including summary area calculations, proximity assessments, and environmental footprint mapping
  • Assist with administering GIS user portal, web maps and spatial repositories
  • Maintain metadata and data governance requirements to ensure spatial information remains accurate, accessible and auditable

To thrive in this role, you will need

  • Demonstrated 1-3 years of experience using GIS desktop platforms such as ArcGIS Pro or QGIS, with strong spatial data management, cartography and Microsoft Office skills
  • Experience within mining, environmental, natural resources or consulting sectors, along with exposure to web/field GIS applications, spatial databases, environmental compliance processes, and GIS automation or scripting

Qualifications

  • Hold a relevant tertiary qualification in GIS, Geospatial Science, Geography, Environmental Science, or a related discipline
