Fuel Operator

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, this role offers stability and growth, placing you at the centre of operations at our fuel installation site. With a structured training and development program, prior experience in defence or the fuel industry isn’t required; you’ll be fully trained.

Your main focus will be managing Defence fuel storage and distribution facilities, operating fuel handling equipment, monitoring fuel quality and inventory, supporting maintenance activities, and ensuring compliance with safety, operational, and security procedures.

Hours

• Shifts are 8 hours
• Day: 6:30am to 2:30pm
• Afternoon: 2:30pm - 10:30pm (20% loading on ordinary hours)

Duties include

• Safely operate and manage aviation and/or ground fuel installations in line with compliance requirements.
• Monitor and maintain fuel quality through regular sampling and testing.
• Ensure fuel quality, compliance, volume, and availability using systems like JFIMS and SCADA; ideal for someone comfortable with technology.

Requires

• A valid driver’s licence (HR or HC desirable but not essential at entry).
• Australian citizenship and ability to pass a police check.
