About the Company
Our client is a supplier to the building and construction industry, specialising in the manufacture of concrete products throughout WA.
About the Role
Based in Perth's North-East near the Swan Valley, they are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator / Yard Hand to join their team.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating 4–5 tonne forklifts to transport concrete products and materials throughout the yard
- Opportunity to progress onto operating a 16-tonne forklift
- Loading and unloading trucks safely and efficiently
- Moving precast concrete panels and products around the yard
- Pressure washing concrete panels and finished products
- Fitting nuts to bolts on sleepers as they are produced
- General yard cleanup and housekeeping
- Assisting with stock organisation and yard maintenance
- Using spreader beams to lift and move longer concrete panels (experience highly regarded)
Details
- Ongoing role with a view to permanency
- Casual rate: $35.00 per hour + penalties after 7.6 hours per day + super (depending on experience)
- Monday to Friday
- 8–10 hour days
- Immediate start available
Requirements
- Current High Risk Forklift (LF) Licence
- Experience operating forklifts in an industrial, manufacturing or construction environment
- Experience operating larger capacity forklifts (up to 16 tonnes) is highly regarded but not essential
- Current Driver's Licence and reliable transport
- Construction White Card (preferred)
- Physically fit and willing to assist with manual yard duties
- Ability to work safely both independently and within a team
- Australian Permanent Resident or unrestricted working rights
