Fitter Mechanic - Field Service - Drive In/Drive Out

Drive in / Drive Out opportunity | Boddington Based l 5/2 Roster (Monday to Friday)

Based at the Newmont Boddington Mine Site, as a Coates Field Service Mechanic you will take responsibility for the repair and maintenance of Coates hire equipment and machinery on site.

This is a highly autonomous role where you'll be trusted to manage your workload, build strong customer relationships and keep critical equipment operating safely and efficiently, minimising downtime and supporting site operations.

Duties include:

• Safe, effective and efficient preventative maintenance, servicing and overhaul as required
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and diagnose mechanical faults across a variety of equipment on site
• Deliver a level of trust and commitment to our customers that demonstrates Coates is the right supplier for the project
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults across a variety of equipment, including generators, lighting plants, telehandlers, forklifts and access equipment
• Ensure stock levels of spare parts are available to undertake repairs on site
• Maintain accurate service records and ensure all work is completed in accordance with Coates safety and service standards
• Work independently to support site operations while maintaining a strong focus on safety and customer service

What you'll bring to the role

• Relevant Mechanical Trade Qualification
• Experience with petrol and diesel engines, hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical systems
• Experience maintaining mining, construction, hire or heavy industrial equipment
• Effective time management and attention to detail
• Troubleshooting, diagnostic and preventative maintenance skills
• Ability to work autonomously in a mine site environment
• Strong customer service and stakeholder engagement skills
• Current Driver's Licence
• Current Working at Heights certifications
• Current Forklift (LF), Telehandler and EWP licences/tickets
