About the Role

Fitter Mechanic - Field Service, based in Cairns, you will assume responsibility for the efficient and effective servicing, repair and preventative maintenance of our extensive range of hire equipment and machinery on customer sites, all over the FNQ region.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote a Safety First, Zero Harm culture – champion safety with your colleagues and customers.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults across a variety of equipment on site – work on Access, Earthmoving, Compaction, Generators, Lighting, Traffic Management, Trucks & Vehicles, Small Tools & Equipment and Material Handling, whilst always ensuring exceptional customer service and high standard of safety.
• Maintaining up-to-date service records for all service and repair work.
• Minimise operational downtime of equipment.

What you’ll bring to the role

• Drivers Licence & Relevant Trade Qualifications
• Troubleshooting, diagnostic and preventative maintenance skills
• Experience with petrol and diesel motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical skills
• Forklift & EWP ticket (highly regarded)
