FIFO Logistics Coordinator - Rail Renewals

About the Role

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Logistics Coordinator to join our mining team.

This role is for a top tier miner & are to start November based in Port Hedland on an 8/6 but must be open to different rosters when required. The central projects are all related to Track Renewals Project Management and Rail Execution.

As a Logistics Coordinator, you'll play a key role in keeping the Rail Renewals operation moving safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinating people, plant, equipment and materials
• Supporting rail renewal activities and daily logistics
• Maintaining clear communication across crews and operations
• Planning and coordinating movements and deliveries
• Identifying and managing operational risks
• Working closely with supervisors, contractors and site teams
• Putting safety first - every shift, every task

About You / What We Want

• Has strong logistics and coordination skills
• Understands the demands of a mining/rail environment
• Can work under pressure and make sound operational decisions
• Communicates clearly and confidently
• Is proactive and solutions-focused
• Leads by example when it comes to safety

Preferred experience/systems

• Previous logistics, transport coordination, planning, or operational coordination experience within mining, rail, or construction
• SAP/1SAP experience preferred
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
• Experience coordinating personnel, plant, equipment, and material movements across multiple work fronts

Preferred soft skills

• Strong organisational and planning skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced operational environment
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Proactive, solutions-focused mindset
• High attention to detail and strong safety focus

Other relevant information

• Flexibility is essential as roster extensions and changes are sometimes required to support operational requirements and leave coverage
• The role acts as a key coordination point between supervisors, crews, contractors, suppliers, and support functions
• Experience in a mining or rail environment would be highly regarded
