About the Role

The role: Cater Care Services are seeking an experienced Handyperson with some utility knowledge to join one of our remote mining villages. You will be required to complete non-trade handyperson duties as well as assist the broader utility team where required.

Key Responsibilities

• Handyperson duties - replacing locks/door handles/washers and general camp maintenance
• Common Area Cleaning - emptying bins, sweeping, mopping, general cleaning
• Utility duties when required - Housekeeping and Kitchen Hand
• Load / unload truck on delivery day
• Gardening & Grounds Work
• Baggage handling

About You / Requirements

• Current Australian driver's license
• Forklift license (highly desirable)
• Dangerous Goods certificate (highly desirable)
• National Police Clearance within 6 months, or willing to obtain
• Previous experience as a handyperson
• Ability to work well with other team members
• Motivated, enthusiastic and positive ‘can-do’ attitude
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to pass a pre employment medical + drug & alcohol screening
• Physically fit and able to work long hours with repetitive tasks
• Ability to work in varying degrees of heat, cold, humidity & inclement weather
