About the Company
Join a well-established exploration team delivering drilling and resource definition programs across Western Australia. Due to increased project activity, an opportunity has become available for experienced Field Assistants to support ongoing exploration campaigns on an initial 2-3 month contract.
About the Role
Working closely with geologists and drilling crews, you will provide hands-on support across a range of exploration activities in a remote FIFO environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting RC and diamond drilling programs
- Drill sample collection, handling, and management
- Sample preparation, bagging, and dispatch
- Assisting with geological mapping and surface sampling programs
- Core handling and core yard duties
- Equipment operation and maintenance
- Collection and recording of field data
- Assisting with site preparation and rehabilitation activities
- Maintaining a safe and productive work environment
- General field support duties as required
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience as a Field Assistant, Drillers Offsider, or within exploration/mining environments
- Strong commitment to safety and site procedures
- Ability to work in physically demanding conditions
- Experience working around drilling operations highly regarded
- Current Australian Manual Driver's Licence
- National Police Clearance (or ability to obtain)
- Ability to work effectively in remote FIFO locations
- First Aid certificate highly regarded
- 4WD experience advantageous
