About the Opportunity

As a Refrigeration & Facilities Supervisor, your primary focus will be hands‑on trade work, ensuring refrigeration and HVAC systems remain compliant, operational, and responsive to breakdowns.

Your responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities

• Performing repair, maintenance, and fault‑finding on air‑conditioning and refrigeration systems
• Responding to reactive breakdowns and supporting planned maintenance activities
• Conducting inspections across accommodation rooms, kitchens, laundries, and plant areas
• Supporting the upkeep of village facilities, including general repairs and non‑technical maintenance
• Coordinating day‑to‑day tasks and providing guidance to facilities or maintenance staff as required
• Ensuring work is completed safely, compliantly, and with minimal impact to room availability
• Assisting with waste management, grounds, and general village presentation where needed

This role is ideal for a refrigeration tradesperson who enjoys variety, autonomy, and working in a close‑knit remote team environment.

About You

You’re a trade‑qualified Refrigeration Mechanic who enjoys being on the tools and taking ownership of equipment performance in a live operational environment.

You’ll bring:

• Trade qualification in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning
• Current Refrigerant Handling Licence
• Restricted electrical licence (or equivalent)
• Experience maintaining HVAC and refrigeration systems in commercial, industrial, or remote environments
• Ability to work autonomously and respond to reactive maintenance requests
• Strong safety focus and understanding of WHS requirements
• Valid Australian driver’s licence
• Full working rights in Australia (sponsorship not available)
• Flexibility to work day or night shift when required

Desirable:

• Supervisory or step‑up leadership experience
• LF forklift licence
• Experience working in remote or resource‑sector environments
