Groote Eylandt is Australias largest Manganese mining operation, and  under the arrangement WorkPac will provide Industrial and Professional employees to help drive productivity and growth across all facets of the operation.

About the Role

The Exploration Field Assistant supports daily field activities across RC and Diamond drilling programs. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys handson, outdoor work and is comfortable working autonomously in remote environments. You will assist with geological sampling, field logistics, vehicle and equipment upkeep, and site preparation, while maintaining high safety and environmental standards.

What You Will Be Doing

• Supporting RC and Diamond drilling field programs
• Operating and maintaining 4x4 vehicles and field equipment
• Using GPS to mark drill lines, access tracks, and sampling sites
• Assisting with site preparation, rehabilitation, and environmental activities
• Maintaining accurate field records and sample logs
• Promoting and adhering to site safety standards

What You Will Need

• Manual Drivers Licence (4x4 experience preferred)
• Forklift Licence
• Physically fit and able to work in remote, hot environments
• Ability to pass preemployment medical and drug & alcohol screening
• Basic GPS/navigation skills and attention to detail
• Strong safety focus and willingness to work rostered shifts
