Monadelphous is seeking experienced Excavator Operator to join our team for an upcoming FIFO shutdown project. This is a great opportunity to work with a leading company in the resources, energy and infrastructure sectors, with flights available from various locations within Queensland and camp accommodation provided for the duration of the project.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

• Operating excavators safely and efficiently in accordance with site requirements
• Carrying out excavation, material handling, loading and general earthmoving activities
• Completing pre-start inspections and routine equipment checks
• Working safely around personnel, fixed plant, mobile equipment and underground services
• Following site plans, work instructions, SWMS, JSA’s and other project documentation
• Maintaining clear communication with supervisors, spotters and other members of the site team
• Maintaining equipment and work areas in a safe and serviceable condition
• Following all company, client and site safety procedures

What you will bring:

• Previous experience operating excavators in a mining, resources, construction or shutdown environment
• Relevant Excavator/Plant Operator competency or recognised experience
• Current White Card
• Working at Heights training (within 2 years)
• Relevant shutdown experience is highly regarded
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Valid Australian Driver’s Licence
• Proof of right to work in Australia
• Strong commitment to safety
