About the Role
We are currently seeking Trade Qualified A-Grade Electricians to join the Port Maintenance Shutdown Services team. The successful candidate will be Highly motivated and enjoy working in an inclusive team environment within Fixed plant shutdowns across Finucane Island and Nelson Point operations.
Position:
Reporting to A Electrical Shutdown Supervisor you will be responsible for the safe and quality execution of plan and scheduled work on fixed plant electrical equipment, close out of maintenance work documentation, electrical logbook entries and the re-energisation and commissioning of fixed plant equipment and balanced machines.
Your duties will include:
- An overriding commitment to health, safety, and environment within a port environment.
- Complete scheduled positioning and de-energisation & re-energisation of fixed plant equipment & balanced machines for shutdown maintenance.
- Installation of lockbox permits by correctly identifying isolation points and following lock out and zero energy confirmation processes.
- Contribute to Fixed Plant availability through routine maintenance focused on quality work and a defect elimination mindset in a shutdown environment.
- Complete post shut commissioning of fixed plant equipment & balanced machines and hand back to production.
- Adherence to Work Management principles and discipline.
- Conducting field leadership conversations and actively identifying hazards.
- Contributing to Continuous Improvement
About You
- Hold a WA “A” Grade Electrical licence.
- Experience working on in Fixed Plant Maintenance.
- Demonstrated analytical ability, problem solving & communication skills.
- Hold or, have the ability to obtain a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC).
- C Class Driver’s Licence.
- Hold or, have the ability to obtain the BHP-HVO Qualification within 3 months.
- Strong Fault-Finding Skills in a continuous operating plant.
- Senior first aid (desirable).
- Previous mining / Industrial electrical experience (would be highly desirable).
- PLC Experience (desirable).
- Previous permitting system experience (desirable).
- 1SAP and work management Experience (desirable).
