The Role
Reporting to the Site Health & Safety Superintendent, you will play a hands-on operational role supporting emergency response capability, site compliance and Health & Safety across Penny Gold Mine.
- Maintaining emergency response equipment, vehicles and site readiness
- Coordinating emergency response activities, training and emergency exercises
- Conducting workplace inspections, audits and visible field leadership activities
- Supporting first aid, medical response, Fitness for Work and Drug & Alcohol testing
- Monitoring contractor compliance and verifying critical controls in the field
- Supporting incident reporting, investigations, inductions and Health & Safety activities
About You
We’re looking for someone who brings:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in an Emergency Response or similar operational role within the mining, construction or heavy industry sectors
- Certificate III in Emergency Response & Rescue and a Certificate IV in Healthcare (or higher qualification)
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and organisational skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across site
- A proactive, safety-focused approach, supported by incident investigation, compliance reporting and strong administrative skills
- A current West Australian C Class (manual) driver’s licence and the ability to obtain a National Police Clearance for site access clearance.
