Emergency Services Officer

About the Role

2 x Positions Available Start Dates: 24 September 2026 or 01 October 2026 Duration: Approximately 3 months Roster: FIFO 8:6 Location: Gold mining operation in Western Australia

Reporting to the site Health & Safety team, you will play a key role in maintaining emergency preparedness and supporting safe mining operations during a busy shutdown period.

Key responsibilities include:

• Responding to medical, fire, rescue and emergency incidents
• Conducting emergency response, rescue and recovery operations
• Maintaining emergency response equipment and vehicles
• Performing workplace drug and alcohol testing and specimen collection
• Supporting health and safety inspections, audits and compliance activities
• Participating in emergency drills, training exercises and site safety initiatives
• Assisting with incident investigations and reporting
• Promoting a strong safety culture across the workforce

What You'll Need to Succeed:

Essential Requirements:

• Certificate IV in Health Care or equivalent
• Certificate III in Emergency Response and Rescue
• Competency in workplace Drug and Alcohol Testing and Specimen Collection
• Previous experience within mining, resources, industrial or remote-site environments

Desirable Qualifications:

• Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety or equivalent
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE)
• Current Australian HR Driver's Licence
• BG4 Closed Circuit Breathing Apparatus qualification
