About the Company
Northern Star Resources is seeking an experienced Emergency Services Officer to join the Emergency Response Team at our Carosue Dam Operations. Reporting to the Emergency Response Coordinator, this permanent full-time FIFO role operates on 8 days on 6 days off roster (12-hour shifts) and offers the opportunity to play a key role in site emergency response while developing your skills within a high-performing, safety-focused team.

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with site Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) management systems and promote a strong safety culture.
- Maintain and continuously improve Emergency Management Plans, procedures and site documentation.
- Lead and facilitate emergency response risk assessments and provide specialist emergency management advice.
- Oversee operational readiness, inspection and maintenance of emergency response equipment and vehicles.
- Deliver emergency response training and competency programs to site personnel and Emergency Response Team (ERT) members.
- Plan, coordinate and execute emergency drills, simulations and operational emergency exercises.
- Act as a First Responder and key Incident Management resource, including after-hours on-call support and liaison with external emergency services and mutual aid partners.
To thrive in this role, you’ll need
- Demonstrated experience in mining environments (underground, open pit or processing).
- Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and industry standards.
- Excellent computer skills, well developed training, communication and presentation skills, record-keeping & document preparation, with the ability to meet the physical demands of the role.

- Certificate III Mine Emergency Response and Rescue RII30719 (including PUAFIR207, RIIERR303E, PUAFIR306, RIIERR303E, RIIERR305E, RIIERR306E, RIIERR307E, RIIERR309D)
- Certificate IV Health Care HLT431120 (or equivalent)
- Cert IV Training & Assessment TAE40122
- Drug and Alcohol Testing HLTPAT010
- Current WA HR-Class Driver’s Licence
