Electrician

We are seeking experienced Electricians for two separate roles within a large scale mining operation. These opportunities suit trade qualified electricians with experience in underground operations or surface ‑ based project works . Both roles offer excellent pay rates, consistent rosters, and long term project opportunities within a professional site environment.

UNDERGROUND ELECTRICIAN

About the Role

Working within underground projects and maintenance teams, you will be responsible for ensuring reliable power distribution and communication systems supporting underground mining operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain underground communication systems
• Install and maintain underground reticulation systems
• Maintain and support tele ‑ remote systems
• Perform scheduled maintenance, statutory testing, and inspections
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with site standards

Roster & Location

• 7/7 or 8/6 roster
• FIFO from Brisbane or Townsville
• BIBO available from Mount Isa

Requirements

• Electrical Trade Qualification
• QLD Electrical Licence
• LVR / CPR
• Previous underground mining experience (highly regarded)
• Current MMMQ (preferred)
• 2–3 years minimum underground experience

PROJECT ELECTRICIAN – SURFACE WORKS

About the Role

This is a surface based project role only , working within a small projects team delivering electrical installations and upgrades across site infrastructure. The role requires confidence working independently and a proactive, solutions focused approach.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and maintain surface electrical systems
• Electrical project work across:

• Hydrocarbon systems
• Water Treatment Plants
• Evaporators (Evaps)
• Other surface infrastructure and project ‑ based installations

• Conduct statutory testing, inspections, and scheduled maintenance
• Ensure all work complies with safety and electrical standards

Roster & Location

• 8/6 roster – Wednesday to Wednesday
• 12 ‑ hour shifts (shorter fly ‑ out day)
• FIFO from Brisbane or Townsville
• BIBO available from Mount Isa

Requirements

• Current QLD Electrician Licence
• LVR / CPR
• Background in heavy industry or mining
• Experience in industrial or mining installations and project work
• Ability to work autonomously and take initiative in a small team
