Zenviron have a permanent position available for a highly motivated Electrical Engineer or Renewables Engineer to join the engineering team based in the Newcastle Office.

Reporting to the Delivery Team Leader, you will be responsible for working within the pre-contracts team in assisting with the coordination of commercially effective engineering solutions for large scale Wind Farms and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Analyse and interpret project requirement documentation such as scope of works, specifications, planning and connection documents.
• Prepare associated designs, calculations, and drawings.
• Assist in estimating quantities and selection of equipment based on project requirements and relevant standards.
• Respond to technical queries and requests for information.
• Supporting the project design process and related engineering requirements.
• Co-ordination of engineering activities with project team and related Stakeholders.
• Maintaining all related records as applied to each project.

What we are looking for:

• Australian recognised Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) or Bachelor of Renewable Energy Engineering.
• Familiarity with large scale renewable energy or power system projects
• Proven estimating and tendering experience in construction of major electrical infrastructure projects or utility scale HV substation projects.
• Good attention to detail and the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Good communication (written and verbal) skill.
• Proof of right to work in Australia.
