Job Description

Electrical Project Supervisor—client-side Capital Projects role in mining. This is an opportunity for an experienced Electrical Supervisor to move into a client-side Capital Projects role with a major mining operator.

You will work closely with contractors, engineering, operations and commissioning teams, providing oversight from construction planning through to testing, energisation and handover.

Based in the Pilbara on a 2/2 roster, this role offers exposure to multiple projects and the opportunity to influence how electrical works are planned, coordinated and delivered within an operational mining environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Represent the client across electrical construction activities
  • Coordinate contractors, work fronts and daily site priorities
  • Oversee cabling, power distribution, instrumentation and electrical infrastructure
  • Review work packs, drawings, schematics and construction documentation
  • Monitor contractor performance across safety, quality, schedule and productivity
  • Support construction planning, shutdown preparation and constructability reviews
  • Coordinate with engineering, operations, SMP, civil and commissioning teams
  • Resolve technical queries, site constraints and project interfaces
  • Oversee testing, inspections, pre-commissioning and completion records
  • Support brownfield tie-ins, energisation, commissioning and handover

What You’ll Bring

  • Current Western Australian Electrical Worker’s Licence
  • Statutory Supervisor qualification, including Schedule 26 competencies
  • Current Construction White Card and driver’s licence
  • Electrical supervision experience within mining, resources or heavy industry
  • Strong knowledge of LV and HV systems, cabling and instrumentation
  • Experience managing contractors in an operational mining environment
  • Brownfield, sustaining capital or shutdown project experience
  • Strong understanding of isolations, energy control and site safety requirements
  • Ability to complete site access requirements, including medical and drug and alcohol screening

Previous client-side or major mining operator experience will be highly regarded.

ALL APPLICANTS MUST HAVE PERMANENT RESIDENCY OR CITIZENSHIP WITHIN AUSTRALIA.
