About the Role

Macmahon are seeking an experienced Electrical Manager to lead the safe and reliable operations of underground electrical systems across our mining operations.

This role is responsible for electrical compliance, maintenance strategy, asset performance and team leadership to support safe, efficient production across Macmahon’s underground operations.

• Mon – Fri | Perth based role
• Occasional site travel | Flights & camp accommodation provided

Responsibilities

• Manage underground electrical distribution, instrumentation, and control systems to maintain reliability and minimise downtime
• Oversee the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment and plant
• Develop and implement electrical standards, procedures, and maintenance strategies aligned with site and legislative requirements
• Ensure compliance with relevant state mining legislation, electrical standards, and site safety systems
• Act as Electrical Nominee or statutory supervisor when required
• Manage contractors and OEMs across projects and sustaining work
• Support site growth projects, upgrades, and infrastructure expansion
• Drive continuous improvement across electrical reliability, cost, and safety performance

About you

• Demonstrated experience in underground mining operations, leading electrical teams
• Australian recognised electrical trade or engineering qualification
• Current WA Electrical Licence and relevant statutory qualifications, or the ability to obtain
• Strong knowledge of underground power systems, HV networks and maintenance practices
• Provide clear direction on safety, standards, and work quality
• Build strong working relationships with production, maintenance, and technical teams
• Mentor team members and build succession capability within the electrical function
• Current C Class Drivers Licence
