About the Role

8/6 Day Shift Only Role FIFO from Perth Permanent role at owner-operated Gruyere Gold Mine Join a safety-first team with long term career growth

Reporting to the Supervisor Operational Technology, the Communications Technician will play a hands-on role maintaining and improving the reliability of our communications systems. This new role offers the opportunity to take ownership of key infrastructure while gaining exposure to advanced mining technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting leaky feeder, Wireless backhaul, and CCTV systems, VHF DMR System
Ensuring reliable connectivity to support safety, operations..
Supporting system upgrades, configuration, and integration of new technologies.
Committing to maintaining health, safety, and security standards and principles within the workplace.
Work within the Technology Teams to Provide assistance with Truck Communications installations

About You / Requirements

Current manual driver’s licence.
Hold a trade qualification in Communications or equivalent (essential)
Experience working with wireless networks, digital two-way systems, or leaky feeder infrastructure.
Possess ACMA Open Cabling Registration, with endorsements in optical fibre and structured cabling considered desirable.
Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills, particularly in configuring hardware and networks
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, combined with a collaborative approach to support success in this role.

Qualifications & Certifications

Trade qualification in Communications or equivalent (essential)
Current manual driver's licence
ACMA Open Cabling Registration (endorsements in optical fibre and structured cabling considered desirable)
