About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Area Superintendent to join the Barrow Island CO2 Project, leading the safe and successful delivery of E&I construction, commissioning, and handover activities.
Reporting to the Project Site Lead, you will provide leadership to site-based E&I teams, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and Lead Constructability reviews
- Ensure activities are scheduled & executed in accordance with the schedules priority tasks
- Lead a team of supervisors to safely perform E&I construction and installation activities across the project.
- Ensure supervisors have resourced work-fronts with the required materials, plant & equipment etc prior to execution of activities
- Drive a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with HSE requirements.
- Manage project resources, schedules, and deliverables.
- Coordinate interfaces between construction, engineering, commissioning, and operations teams.
- Coordinate quality inspections, testing, and completion activities.
- Ensure progress and time-writing is accurate and in accordance with Project Controls requirements.
- Ensure any factors affecting progress are recorded and escalated in accordance with the contract
- Support commissioning, energisation, system testing, and project handover.
About You
- Electrical Trade Certificate and/or relevant Engineering Qualification
- Extensive experience in E&I construction within Oil & Gas, LNG, Resources, Energy, or major infrastructure projects.
- Proven leadership experience in a Superintendent or Senior Supervisor capacity.
- Strong knowledge of Electrical, Instrumentation & control systems.
- Demonstrated ability to lead site teams and deliver projects safely, on schedule, and within budget
- Experience working on remote construction projects and supporting commissioning activities.
Desirable
- Experience in LNG, and/or major brownfield projects.
- Hazardous Area installation and commissioning experience.
- Previous Barrow Island or major energy project experience highly regarded.
