Hays are currently partnering with a leading underground mining contractor seeking experienced Underground Drill Fitters to join their growing maintenance team across multiple Western Australian operations. About the Role

• Breakdown diagnosis and repair of underground drilling equipment
• Scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance
• Hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical fault-finding
• Engine, transmission, and drivetrain repairs
• Completion of maintenance reports and work orders
• Ensuring compliance with site safety procedures and OEM standards
• Working both underground and in workshop environments
• Participating in continuous improvement initiatives

Equipment

You will be working on a range of underground drilling and mining equipment, including:

• Sandvik DD321, DD420 and development jumbos
• Sandvik DL series production drills
• Epiroc production and development drills
• Solo drills and long-hole drill rigs
• Associated underground mining support equipment

Previous experience on Sandvik and Epiroc drill equipment will be highly regarded.

What you're need to succeed

• Trade qualification in Heavy Diesel Mechanics / Mobile Plant Technology
• Previous underground mining experience as a Drill Fitter or HD Fitter
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Experience with hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
• Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
• Commitment to maintaining a safe workplace
• Current Australian Driver's Licence
• Full Australian working rights
