About the Company

Anglo American Australia operates five steelmaking coal mines in Queensland’s Bowen Basin and has additional joint venture interests in manganese, as well as copper exploration projects under way in North West Queensland. Steelmaking coal is an essential ingredient in blast-furnace steel manufacture, producing steel used for critical building and infrastructure around the world.

About the Role

Reporting to the Dragline Supervisor, you will be responsible for the safe, professional and diligent approach and operation of our 8050 and 8750 Draglines.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all Anglo American safety and operating systems.
• Work together as part of a team to achieve business objectives and safely achieve targets.
• Demonstrate knowledge in dragline set-up, operations and dig patterns to achieve machine optimisation and improve performance.

About You / Requirements

• Possess appropriate mining operating experience, including dragline, dozer, grader and cable reeler skills.
• Display excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Bring an open mind and willingness to try new ways of operating.
• Be a team player.
• Have at least 12 months’ competent dragline experience.
• Be a proficient dozer operator.
• Provide proof of your operating experience.
