About the Role
MPI is looking for a Document Controller to join a dynamic team supporting an expansion project. This position will assist the engineering team ensuring the accuracy of project documentation. The role is based in Perth, with occasional travel to site required depending on project needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Process project documentation efficiently, including data entry, scanning, distribution and filing
- Keep the existing database and SharePoint Document Management Repository up to date
- Manage document revisions and ensure version history is accurately maintained within the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS)
- Perform QA/QC checks to confirm documents are correctly categorised and numbered in line with project requirements
- Receive, register, distribute and monitor project documentation throughout its full lifecycle, through to final archiving
- Prepare status reports outlining the progress of deliverables for internal and external stakeholders
- Support the review and preparation of Document Control Work Instructions and Procedures.
About You
We are looking for someone who brings:
- A proactive approach and strong customer service focus when working with internal project teams and external contractor contacts, including Document Controllers, Project Administrators and project liaisons
- At least 2 years’ experience working as a Document Controller or as part of a team on a fast-tracked project within mining or a similar industry
- Demonstrated understanding and practical experience using industry-standard EDMS platforms, such as SharePoint, M-Files, Box, Intuit, QDMS, Aconex or similar
- Previous experience compiling commissioning documentation and Work Packs for site teams
- Experience following up and tracking the submission and progress of supplier and subcontractor document deliverables
- Strong organisational and time management abilities, with a high level of attention to detail
- A Graduate Certificate or tertiary qualification in Library Science or Communication (preferred)
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft software packages and Adobe suite.
