Komatsu’s Wacol branch is growing, and we are currently seeking multiple Diesel Fitters / Heavy Mobile Plant Fitters to join our workshop team. This is a hands-on role focused on building and preparing a wide range of machinery including:

• Brand-new machines
• Mining Equipment
• Construction & Utility Equipment You’ll work across machine assembly, fit-outs, pre-delivery inspections, machine preparation and local optional installation before equipment is delivered to customers. We are open to candidates from a variety of trade backgrounds including:
• Diesel Fitters
• Mobile Plant Mechanics
• Diesel Mechanics
• Light Vehicle Mechanics
• Trades Assistants with heavy commercial experience Whether you already have experience in heavy equipment or are looking to transition into the industry, Komatsu can provide the training, support, and development to help build your long-term career. Roster: Monday to Friday: 5:00am to 1:57pm OR 2:00pm to 10:27pm Role Located: Wacol, Queensland

What we are looking for:

• Trade qualification in Diesel Fitting, Automotive, Mobile Plant, or similar
• Open to Light Vehicle Mechanics and Trades Assistants with heavy commercial experience
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Experience with heavy mobile equipment or commercial machinery highly regarded
• Commitment to safety and quality workmanship
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Industry standard tickets/ Licenses Preferred but not essential (Forklift, EWP, Working at Heights, Doggers / Riggers)
