The Opportunity:

Join Komatsu as an Electrical Engineer – PDI & Reman and play a key role in designing and developing electrical solutions for heavy mobile equipment across Australia. Working closely with Operations and Engineering teams, you'll deliver innovative, safe and compliant designs that enhance machine performance and customer outcomes.

You'll also provide specialist engineering support for the remanufacture of motors, alternators and generators, driving reliability and continuous improvement initiatives. 
This is an opportunity to work on diverse projects, influence national engineering standards and contribute to industry-leading equipment solutions.

Role Located: Welshpool – free onsite parking 
Roster: Monday to Friday

What we are looking for:

  • Design software experience preferred but not essential (Creo parametric, Creo Schematic, Solid Edge and Windchill/PLM)
  • Knowledge of engineering fundamentals Design processes:
  • Conceptual design through detailed design including validation and verification
  • Knowledge of relevant Australian and international electrical standards and ability to apply them throughout the design process.
  • Development and reporting on KPIs (Power BI Excel)
  • Understanding of Quality Management and Continuous Improvement techniques. (ISO 9001)
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Sound analytical, organisation and problem-solving skills.
  • High personal standards and values.
  • Good understanding of mechanical and hydraulic engineering

Qualification/s

  • Required - Bachelor’s degree qualification in Engineering (Eletrical or Mechatronics)
  • Preferred but not essential – Chartered, NER or RPEQ accreditation
