Analytics Engineer

6 month contract — Perth (on-site)

Our client, a leading resources organisation is looking for an experienced Analytics Engineer to join an Asset Analysis & Modelling team.

This is a hands-on role focused on turning complex SAP PM / CMMS maintenance data into trusted SQL data models and Power BI reporting that supports planners, reliability engineers and maintenance stakeholders.

What you’ll be doing

• Build and maintain curated SQL data models / reporting views(Snowflake and/or SQL Server)
• Transform, structure and validate SAP PM / CMMS datasets(equipment, functional locations, work orders, maintenance plans/items)
• Develop and enhance Power BI datasets and reports for maintenance performance and strategy insights
• Improve data quality through investigation, testing and proactive issue resolution
• Maintain documentation, governance and traceability across models and reports
• Partner with internal developers and operational/site stakeholders to deliver fit-for-purpose reporting

What you’ll bring

• Strong SQL capability ( Snowflake or SQL Server) with proven data modelling/transformation experience ( essential)
• Strong experience delivering reporting/analytics solutions in Power BI(or similar)
• Experience with SAP PM back-end tables / maintenance data structures( highly desirable)
• Background in mining / fixed plant / heavy mobile equipment environments (highly regarded)
• Python for data transformation/automation (nice to have)
• Good documentation habits and a strong focus on data integrity

Role details

• Contract: 6 months
• Location: Perth, WA (on-site)
• Hours: Full-time (40 hours/week)
