About the Role

Monadelphous is seeking Cost Controllers to join our team and support upcoming major construction projects.

You'll assist with cost reporting, forecasting, budgeting and project performance monitoring across the project lifecycle. This role offers valuable exposure to large-scale project environments and provides strong opportunities for ongoing development and career progression within Monadelphous.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in developing control budgets and estimates in line with project scope and work breakdown structure
• Undertake Project Forecasting and Estimate to Complete
• Earned Value Analysis, Cost Reporting and Cost Performance evaluation.
• Variance analysis, including trend, risk and opportunity identification.
• Provide data on project cost performance and participate in the review of overall project status and forecasts with the Commercial Manager and Project Manager.
• Assess variations and claims and provide cost change management.
• Manage project accounting activities including cost control.
• Compilation of monthly progress claims.
• Be the link between the Project team and the Commercial team in Perth.
• Process month-end accounting activities, including relevant accruals, provisions, allocations, and cost transfers.
• Prepare monthly management reports and present to senior management.

What you’ll bring

• Ability to adapt to different situations and organise priorities autonomously to meet deadlines.
• 3+ years' experience in cost control, project accounting, or a related field.
• Preferably on-site experience in the construction or resources sector.
• Experience with project accounting software and ERP systems.
• Strong knowledge of accounting and cost control principles and practices.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• InEight experience highly regarded.
• CA, CPA or Engineering qualification (or working towards) highly regarded.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or related field highly regarded.
