About the Role

Reporting to the Manager – Work Health & Safety, this role applies specialist expertise in workplace training and adult learning to design, direct and continuously improve Liontown's WHS training framework at Kathleen Valley. You'll provide thought leadership and technical direction on training standards and practices, working closely with site-based trainers and WHS teams across the operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, direct and continuously improve Liontown's WHS training framework at Kathleen Valley
  • Provide day-to-day leadership and coaching to the WHS Trainers, supporting their development and performance
  • Act as the subject matter expert for WHS training and competency development across the business
  • Provide authoritative technical guidance to site-based trainers and WHS teams on training design and delivery standards
  • Lead cross-functional training initiatives, coordinating input from WHS, Operations and People & Culture stakeholders
  • Ensure Liontown's WHS training framework aligns with legislative requirements and industry standards

About You / Requirements

  • Extensive experience in workplace training and development, ideally within work health and safety or a related field
  • Significant experience designing and implementing training frameworks across a large or complex organisation
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent); a Diploma or tertiary qualification in WHS, education or adult learning is desirable
  • Recognised subject matter expertise in training design, delivery and adult learning methodology
  • Advanced influencing and stakeholder engagement skills across all levels of the business
  • Ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional initiatives and solve complex, ambiguous training challenges without formal authority

Qualifications & Certifications

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent)
  • Diploma or tertiary qualification in WHS, education or adult learning is desirable
