Electrical Supervisor

MacKellar is one of Australia’s leading mining equipment and service providers, supporting mining and civil earthmoving operations across the country. We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join our team supporting operations at a coal mine site in the Blackwater area.

This role offers the opportunity to join a well-established operation while working with a highly experienced maintenance team.

Your new role

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Ensuring compliance with the site Safety and Health Management System
• Supervising and coordinating day-to-day electrical maintenance and repair activities across the fleet – KOM830E, as well as site infrastructure and ancillary equipment
• Conducting statutory inspections to ensure electrical installations and equipment comply with Mine Safety and Inspection Regulations and Australian Electrical Standards
• Leading, mentoring and managing the electrical crew
• Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and working collaboratively to implement improvements

What you'll need to succeed

• Trade qualified Electrician with experience on Electric Drive Trucks
• Proven experience leading teams while managing competing priorities and operational deadlines
• Demonstrated commitment to maintaining a strong safety culture within teams
• Current Mining Supervisor – G1, G8, G9 (formerly S1, S2, S3)
• Current Carry Out the Risk Management Process – G2
• Coal Board Medical (or willingness to obtain)
• Standard 11 (or willingness to obtain)
