About the Role

Reporting to the OHST manager, you’ll lead and coordinate the Medical, Emergency Services and Security functions at our Agnew Gold Mine. This is a permanent FIFO opportunity from Perth on an 8 days on, 6 days off roster.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and engage the Emergency Response Team to ensure high standards of emergency services and security practices onsite.
  • Plan and coordinate emergency exercises and mock emergencies in line with regulatory and site requirements.
  • Maintain emergency response, security and compliance systems, procedures and documentation to support operational readiness.
  • Manage security policies, site access procedures and investigations, while liaising with external agencies and emergency response stakeholders.
  • Represent Agnew and Gold Fields at relevant mine rescue, regulatory, law enforcement and community emergency response forums.
  • Manage departmental resources, including training, equipment, vehicles, consumables and maintenance.
  • Provide regular reports, advice and updates to senior management.

What You’ll Bring

  • Certificate III in Mine Emergency Response and Rescue
  • Certificate IV in Health Care
  • Proven extensive experience leading Emergency Services and Security teams in an Underground mining environment.
  • Leadership experience in an Emergency Services environment, with strong emergency preparedness and incident management capability.
  • Current manual driver's licence.
  • Growth mindset, with strong communication, leadership and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience with systems such as INX, Best Practice and Gallagher will be highly regarded.

Required Certifications

  • Certificate III Mine Emergency Response & Rescue
  • Certificate IV in Health Care

Preferred Certifications

  • Certificate – Control a Level 1 Incident – Incident Management will be highly regarded.
  • Certificate III in Security Operations will be highly regarded.
