Contracts Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking experienced Contracts Specialists to join a major resources organisation across a number of projects. Working closely with project teams, procurement, commercial and key stakeholders, you will support the effective management of contracts throughout the procurement and project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the development and management of contracts across project requirements.
• Assist with tendering, procurement and contract award activities.
• Prepare and review contract documentation, scopes of work and commercial correspondence.
• Manage contractual obligations, variations, claims, notices and correspondence.
• Monitor contractor performance, deliverables and compliance with contract requirements.
• Support negotiations with contractors and suppliers.
• Assist with contract administration, reporting and close-out activities.
• Maintain accurate contract records and documentation.
• Work closely with project, procurement, engineering, construction and commercial teams.
• Identify and escalate contractual and commercial risks.
• Build effective relationships with internal stakeholders, contractors and suppliers.
• Ensure activities are aligned with company policies, procedures and governance requirements.

About You

• Previous experience in contracts, commercial, procurement or contract administration within the resources, mining, construction or major projects sector.
• Experience managing contracts through procurement and delivery phases.
• Strong understanding of contract administration, variations, claims and commercial processes.
• Experience working with contractors, suppliers and project stakeholders.
• Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisational and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Ability to manage competing priorities within a project environment.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Procurement, Commercial, Business, Law, Engineering or a related discipline is desirable.
