This is a unique opportunity to join a market-leading renewable energy contractor and play a key role in the delivery of one of Australia's largest clean energy infrastructure projects. Initially based in our Newcastle office, you will support project design, procurement and pre-construction activities before transitioning to site during the construction phase.

If you are a commercially minded Contracts Administrator looking to contribute to Australia's energy transition while building your career within a high-performing project team, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation, tendering, negotiation and administration of subcontract agreements and major purchase orders.
  • Support project teams to ensure compliance with contractual obligations, company procedures and commercial governance requirements.
  • Prepare, submit and manage client progress claims, variations and contract correspondence.
  • Assess and administer subcontractor claims, variations and extensions of time.
  • Identify commercial risks and support the implementation of mitigation strategies.
  • Assist with project cost control, forecasting and reporting activities.
  • Maintain accurate contract records and project documentation.
  • Build effective relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal project stakeholders.
  • Provide commercial support during both office-based pre-construction activities and on-site project delivery.

What You Will Bring

  • Previous experience in a Contracts Administrator role within construction, infrastructure, resources, energy or EPC/EPCM project environments.
  • Site-based contracts administration experience highly regarded, though not essential for candidates willing to transition to site-based work.
  • Strong understanding of contract administration, claims management and commercial processes.
  • Knowledge of contract law and Security of Payment legislation.
  • Experience managing variations, progress claims and subcontractor agreements.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify and manage project risks.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • High attention to detail and well-developed documentation skills.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering or a related discipline will be highly regarded.

The Opportunity

This position is ideally suited to candidates based in Newcastle, Hunter Valley, Dubbo, Sydney or the Mid North Coast regions. Preference will be given to candidates who can initially work from the Newcastle office before transitioning to site during project delivery.

The project will operate on a DIDO basis, with camp accommodation provided. A competitive remuneration package will be offered, along with roster options designed to maximise time at home.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, a collaborative approach to work and a commitment to delivering positive project outcomes. You will be capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and commercial awareness.
