About the Role
The Contract Administrator is a pivotal role in supporting project success through the preparation and management of subcontractor documents, coordination of procurement activities, and collaboration with project managers during the tendering and construction stages. By fostering attention to detail, strong communication, and organisational excellence, we aim to develop skilled professionals who drive seamless project execution and contribute to the growth and innovation of the industrial construction sector.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Review tender documents, subcontractor/supplier pricing, and coordinate the tender process for sub-contract packages
- Prepare scope of works, contracts, and purchasing schedules; negotiate pricing to secure the best commercial outcome
- Review shop drawings and ensure works are well coordinated across trades
- Support the Project Manager with order meetings, drafting subcontract orders, and reference checks
- Manage documentation flow, including shop drawings, correspondence, as-built drawings, and O&M manuals, using systems such as Procore, Aconex or SOS
- Assist with client variations, progress claims, and budget reporting
- Help manage the Head Contract, including notices of variation, EOTs, and progress claims
- Support site establishment (accommodation, temporary services, safety signage)
- Contribute to OH&S, Quality Assurance, and Green Star compliance across the project
What You’ll Bring
- Previous experience as a Contract Administrator within construction, engineering or industrial services
- Strong understanding of subcontractor procurement and contract administration processes
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Experience with construction management platforms (Procore, Aconex or similar)
- Ability to work collaboratively with Project Managers and site teams
