UGL Transport are looking for a Commercial Manager - this role can be based in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane
Working closely with Project Managers and operational teams, you will provide strategic commercial leadership across the full project lifecycle while safeguarding company interests and maximising value.

Key Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the timely and effective administration of head contracts to ensure that rights are maintained and obligations fulfilled
• Manage contractual correspondence and communications with the Client associated with the Head Contract
• Manage Head Contract Change, including the preparation, submission and negotiation of upstream Claims and Variations
• Identify, assess and mitigate commercial risks in contracts and project execution
• Drive excellence in management of cost, cash flow, forecasting, and financial performance of projects
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, governance frameworks, and legal requirements
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
• Support subcontract negotiations, and commercial strategy development

About You

• Degree or Diploma in Law, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or similar
• 8+ years experience in contract/commercial management (ideally within Tier 1 or Tier 2 environments)
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts and claims management
• Proven experience managing large-scale project financials and budgets
• Excellent negotiation, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple projects stakeholders.
